The Office of the Assessment Officer plays a crucial role in upholding the academic standards at Khwisero Technical and Vocational College by ensuring the smooth execution of assessments and the integrity of all exams. As the key custodian of the assessment process, the office is responsible for the setting, moderation, and supervision of all internal exams, as well as the secure storage and timely release of results.
One of the primary focuses of the office is to ensure academic integrity, which we achieve through the strict enforcement of assessment policies. We conduct comprehensive sensitization sessions to help trainees understand the importance of honesty and fairness during exams. Our office works tirelessly to prevent examination leaks and closely monitors every stage of the assessment process—from invigilation to marking. We have established stringent systems to detect and address any cases of cheating during exams, safeguarding the credibility of the assessments we oversee.
In collaboration with external examination bodies, the Assessment Office ensures that all assessments are aligned with the TVET CDACC curriculum. This connection ensures that the knowledge and skills gained by our trainees meet the required industry standards, enhancing their readiness for the job market. The office also coordinates the administration of external assessments, maintaining close communication with certifying bodies to ensure that exam policies and procedures are followed.
For trainees facing challenges that prevent them from sitting exams—whether due to financial or medical reasons—we provide an opportunity to resit through supplementary and special exams at the beginning of the next term. This system ensures that no trainee is left behind in their academic journey and can continue to progress toward graduation.
